Doesn't poetry save lives?

Rain ~

That's me in the rain,
in case you didn't notice.

I have danced alone in a frenzy
for what seems to be an eternity,
I have held back the thunder
for I know your fears.

But it's time to come out,
for there's loneliness
at the heart of every rain
and I know you are alone.

Is there a way out for us
stuck as we are
in ways which lie unchanged
even as centuries seem to have passed.

One thought, one feeling, one groove,
and in spite of the cleansing
the boughs of the trees breaking
is the only sound which remains.

A demise is a breath away,
memories are meant to be washed away,
and every step in front
is for a bright summer day.

and we don't need lose it all out.
